Hey scarpar team,
October is about to pass us by, what's the word on the prototype and spec sheet?
Also, my last post had a few questions that remain unanswered, namely:
regenerative braking?
charge time?
Your patent lawyers shouldn't have a problem letting this info out

Hi Jules,
Thanks for the follow up ... yeah ... we know. We are going as fast as we can and believe it or not the patent lawyers are still working on the new PCT however ... the latest is:
- Motors (supplied by a German company) are delayed until next week (4 weeks past due) so this put us back a few weeks. Good reasons for this which end up positive for us, but kills out short term schedule.
- Component sourcing is still happening which involves supply chain certification. There are a lot of parts and suppliers to line up and crawl all over. Each supplier needs to be vetted as changing once we are in production is very difficult for some components
- Regenerative braking is probable ... but there are some issues we need to work through. Mostly, it's that over a defined decline (12 degrees) mechanical assistance is required. This is a recently discovered issue that we need to now solve in the final phase. Not the end of the world, but it requires revisiting certain parts of the design. In addition, it causes packaging issues (we have to put it somewhere!) as well as having to do the actual engineering to solve the problem in an economical but still robust way and then find a supplier etc. This is in progress, but has set us back a little.
- Charge time: don't hold us to it ... but we are currently told that it'll be 4-6 hours on the standard charger and 1-2 hours rapid charge solution. We intend the rapid charge solution to be available as an accessory.
There ... you know as much as us. Might not sound like good news, but it's just part of the process on this end. There's nothing we can do to go any faster and get the result we want.
When you get your new ePSB (electric powersports board) from us, we want you to say "wow, that is really quite amazing" ... and we think you will.
Cheers,
